I've joined a group on Facebook for kids who are taking up the SPM for this year (2014). My intention at first was to help my juniors to succeed and do well in their exams. Although I'm not the best out there but hey, I'm improving, so what?
However, to be honest, I was dumbfounded and a lil bit disappointed to see what's on these kids' minds. It's mind boggling to know that a 17 years old would have that kind of mentality. Feeling sick and nausea at the same time, I tried to hold it in, hoping that I could spell some Hogwarts magics on them.
Mentality
I hereby stated that all these quotes were literally copied from what the kids posted and I didn't make any change whether in spelling, grammar and etc.
"sus0h glew exam bi axdy .... ase2 mcm ggal jew :3"
"Pegang buku fizik terus gantuk pegang hp x pa pula terus segar mata hehe
#tolong_bg_tip_study_fizik_ples =D"
"mkin hri mkin mndung msa dpn.."
My Thought
"Ridiculous" I said knowing that my magic wouldn't work on them anyway. But at the same time, I hope that they could benefit from it.
Kiddos, do change your mentality. As I'm sighing while reading these kind of statuses, I realized that I was one of them too many years ago. Haha. So kids, sit down and buckle up! Your grandma is going to tell you a bedtime story.
Stop thinking the worst yet since your journey is still long. When I was in school, my siblings kept reminding me to always improve myself. I never thought of failure, although it's possible.
"Failure is not an option."
Everyone makes mistakes as no one is perfect. Life has it's ups and downs kiddos.

Never give up. Some students today, give up easily. Which somehow sparks rage inside of me since they kind of not appreciating things around them.
"Oh studying is too hard, I'm giving up!"
Hello! Wake up call! Do you know how lucky it is to be studying? Some people in some parts of the world can't even afford to go to school. But you guys who are able to spend a minimum of RM5 during recess time are already giving up? Urgh! Damn I'm frustrated.
Ever heard of the saying, "When life gave me lemons, make lemonade" ? Use it! Apply it in your daily life. If you can't then find ways to make use out of those lemons.
lemons anyone? |
"Malaslah akak."
"Ye lah."
Don't they seem like they care nothing about their future? Honestly, if I were able to speak my ind out loud, I would be probably screaming :
"Ah screw all of you lazy arse, it's your future we're talking about. I was hoping that you would realize that you don't want to flunk your exam what so ever. If you don't wanna do it, it's fine with me. Now leave me alone with my books and literature stuffs!"
But then again, it's only being spoken in my mind. If only death threats or profanities could be sent directly to them. Urgh. Kids today are so spoilt, that they decided it's okay not to improve, I guess.
spoilt kids are so urgh... |
I guess I shall stop now, after all this is not like the end of my rants. Haha. Took me an hour to write and a blackout to survive while writing this. Urgh. >.< Haha.
